Panelists emphasized the key role small businesses play in fighting climate change. By adopting decarbonization practices and creating greener products, SMEs can drive the shift to sustainability. Anila shared, “SMEs are the unsung heroes. At Unilever, we set global ambitions, but local actions drive real progress on decarbonization. SMEs work to meet multinational needs, while big companies look for reliable suppliers. Partnerships and cofinancing help reduce risks and scale innovations.”

At Unilever, we are dedicated to supporting SMEs and ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to contribute to a sustainable future. Our efforts are focused on creating partnerships that reduce risks and scale innovations, ultimately driving progress towards a greener world.
